Michal Trp\u00e1k<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div>

Born 1982 in \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice.<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>
<\/div>

He studied stone sculpture at the Secondary School of Applied Arts of St. Ane\u017eka \u010cesk\u00e1 in \u010cesk\u00fd Krumlov. He then graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in the Studio of Sculpture with prof. ak. soch. Ji\u0159\u00ed Ber\u00e1nek (2007) and doctoral studies under prof. ak. mal. Boris Jirk\u016f at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bansk\u00e1 Bystrica (2012). During his studies, he attended an annual internship at Taideninstitut in Lahti, Finland, and then at Emily Carr Institute in Vancouver, Canada. In 2000, he attended an international student meeting on cultural heritage in South Korea organized by UNESCO.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

<\/div>

Michal Trp\u00e1k created dozens of sculptures from various materials that are exhibited in the Czech Republic and abroad. The sculptures he creates often work with the themes of contemporary society and with the specific space they are installed in.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

<\/div>

In addition to sculpture, he also devotes himself to architecture and organizing and curating various sculptural presentations. Since 2007 he has been organizing the Art in the City exhibition in \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice, and in 2015 he was the founder of the Sculpture Line Festival in Prague.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
